HAPPY BIRTHDAY!- CELEBRATING LISAVAIRD CO-OP’S CENTENARY
The DEA would like to wish all our members past and present at Lisavaird a very happy birthday!
Lisavaird Co-Op celebrated its centenary year in 2025, having been founded on March 10, 1925. The cooperative marked the occasion with a community celebration in August 2025. The co-op welcomed families, staff, and retirees to share memories of the co-op’s 100-year journey. The celebrations also highlighted Lisavaird Co-Op‘s transformation from a local milk co-operative to a thriving agri-business, including a recent multi-million euro redevelopment of its headquarters.
The event was a great success, with crowds turning out to join the celebrations.
Local historian Michael O’Mahony delivered a series of history talks to packed audiences, shining a light on ‘The Story of Lisavaird Co-Op’ a book published by the late Chris Collins.
Another highlight of the centenary celebrations was the history and memorabilia marquee, office tours, magicians, local cuisine and vintage displays.
Lisavaird now employs 382 people across its business. Profits at Lisavaird Co-Op grew 7.5% to €4.4m in 2024.
